Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

Simple and delicious! This Mongolian ground beef noodles recipe could be a staple Asian meal that you make with spring rolls, stir fry, or just have on its own. The possibilities are endless.

Only have 15 minutes to make dinner? Try out this recipe! It’s easy and tastes delicious. If you want a more authentic noodle, think about using a rice or udon. The linguine was surprisingly delicious in the sauce, so we’d say give it a try.

  • Don’t like things too sweet? Cut back on the brown sugar just slightly. We enjoyed the level of sweet in the sauce, but to each their own!

Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles

Ingredients:

1 lb lean ground beef
4 teaspoons minced ginger
6 cloves minced garlic
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 box linguine noodles
4 diced green onions
Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. In a medium or large skillet, brown ground beef with ginger and garlic until cooked through.
  2. Cook noodles follow package directions while ground beef is cooking. Add salt to water to ensure noodles soak up some flavor.
  3. Drain fat from ground beef and return pan to stovetop.
  4. Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl and then pour into ground beef.
  5. Sauté beef in sauce for 3 minutes.
  6. Transfer cooked and drained pasta to the ground beef mixture. Mix thoroughly and allow sauce to thicken.
  7. Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
